Ball State is back on track this weekend, taking most of its roster to Grand Valley State's Big Meet this Friday.

"This serves as a great tune-up for the MAC Championship," Etelman said, noting that 13 teams and most of the MAC teams are scheduled to appear. "It's a big track and I expect for some of our athletes, it'll be their best meet of the season so far."

This is the first time Ball State is competing in this meet at Grand Valley State, which is hosting a meet at its track for the sixth consecutive week. This weekend is the largest meet in which the Cardinals will compete before the conference championships, and it's a key opportunity to keep steady improvement and compete at the top of the leaderboards. Currently, Ball State Cardinals own five marks that are top four in the Mid-American Conference:

No spectators will be admitted at the Big Meet, but fans can follow at the links at the top of this page. Fans wishing to follow need to note each event group will have its own broadcast stream. Field events are $3.95 to watch, track events are $5.95.

Ball State has its lone home meet in the field events building Thursday, Feb. 18. The MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for Feb. 26-27 at Central Michigan.
