Cardinals Announce 2022 Baseball Schedule

MUNCIE, Ind. – Head Coach Rich Maloney and the Ball State baseball team announced the schedule for the 2022 baseball campaign.
BSU is slated to play against PAC 12 power Oregon, and Army, who both made it into the NCAA tournament a season ago. In addition, the team will travel to South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Oregon, along with five MAC schools.
The Cardinals open the season in Charleston, South Carolina, for the Swig and Swine Classic at the Shipyard. Ball State is set to face Bucknell on Feb. 18. On day two of the Swig and Swine Classic, BSU will take on Iowa and Air Force. The Cardinals close off the trip to Charleston with a contest against Army.
Ball State remains on the road for a matchup at UNC-Wilmington on Feb. 25. The Cardinals stay on the road and make the short trip to Coastal Carolina for a game with Middle Tennessee State and two against Coastal Carolina.
BSU starts March with a four-game series at Florida A&M. The Cardinals open the conference portion against Eastern Michigan on March 11-13 at the friendly confines of the Ball Diamond at First Merchants Ballpark Complex. Ball State remains at home for four games against Bowling Green on March 18-20.
Ball State ends March and begins April on the road for a 12-game stint. The Cardinals start the road trip at Western Michigan on March 25-27, followed by Toledo on April 1-3. BSU then takes a trek out west to Oregon for a four-game series at Oregon on April 8-10.
On April 15-17, Ball State welcomes Akron to Muncie for four games. BSU will take to the road for a series against Northern Illinois on April 22-24. The Cardinals close out April at home against Central Michigan on April 29-May 1.
Ball State ends the regular season with eight of the final 12 games on the road. First, at Kent State on May 6-7. The Cardinals will be at home for the last time during the regular season as Ohio comes to town on May 13-15. BSU ends the regular season on the road at Miami on May 19-21.
The MAC Tournament is scheduled for May 25-28 at a host site to be determined at a later date.
