Fraley Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its weekly soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honorees on Tuesday. Ball State's Lexi Fraley earned the distinction of Offensive Player of the Week after an outstanding effort.
Fraley earned her first career goal and points in Sunday's contest with Akron. She gave the Cardinals a 2-1 lead early in the second half as she started with an impressive juke of a Zips defender just inside the goal area and followed with a strong left-footer past the goalie. She added a second goal as she put a move on the keeper and drilled a shot into a wide-open net. She finished the match with two goals and four points.
BSU returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 7, for a rematch of this spring's MAC Championship contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Briner Sports Complex.
