Women’s Tennis Ends Day Two At Louisville Classic

Ball State began its day with doubles play as Jessica Braun alongside teammate Livia Lukacs defeated Middle Tennessee's duo of Muskan Gupta and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt, 7-5.
The Cardinals then took two wins from DePaul in doubles action as Hannah Davies paired up with Emma Peeler for a 6-2 take down over Yuliya Kizelbasheva and Kaya Rand. Braun would win her second doubles match of the day with teammate Amy Kaplan as the doubles tandem posted a 6-2 victory over DePaul's Marija Jovicic and Eleanor Nobbs.
Ball State finished the day on a high note taking four of the six singles matches from Louisville. Braun beat Rhea Verma, 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 10-8 while Kaplan captured a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) victory over Dina Chaika.
Davies took down Tyra Richardson in straight sets, 6-3, 5-2 and Lukacs after going up 4-1 in her first frame won as her opponent Joy Callwood retired the remainder of the match.
The Ball State women's tennis team will end its fall season on Sunday at the Louisville Classic with a round of singles against DePaul beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
