Women’s Tennis Closes Out Fall Play At the UofL Classic This Weekend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -The Ball State women's tennis team closes its fall portion of its schedule this weekend at the Louisville Classic.
The classic began Friday for the Cardinals with doubles competitions against DePaul and Louisville before wrapping day one up with singles play versus Middle Tennessee.
The Cardinals dominated singles over Middle Tennessee taking four of the five matches from the Tigers in straight sets. Jessica Braun took down Muskan Gupta by a score of 6-3, 6-3 while teammate Amy Kaplan earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory against Lee Barnard. Mariya Polishchuk beat Zani Barnard, 6-3, 6-0 and newcomer Hannah Davies only dropped one game apiece in her two sets against Noelle Mauro, 6-1, 6-1.
Unfortunately, despite some hard-fought battles, the Cardinals were unable to win at doubles yesterday.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues action at the Louisville Classic on Saturday playing doubles against Middle Tennessee and will face DePaul again as well before wrapping up the day with singles action versus host UofL.
