Ball State Visits Western Michigan

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State soccer team takes to the road for a Mid-American Conference matchup with Western Michigan on Thursday. The Cardinals enter Thursday's contest with an overall record of 4-8-2 and 2-4-2 in MAC play. BSU is currently eighth in the MAC standings.
Chelcy Ralph leads Ball State with four goals and eight points. Tatiana Mason, Nicky Potts, and Lexi Fraley all have two goals apiece, in a tie for second on the team for most goals. BSU has five players with one goal. Alex DeRuvo has been the main keeper for the Cardinals and has made 52 saves on the year.
This will be the 29th meeting between the Cardinals and the Broncos. The series is tied at 12-12-4. Last season, the teams went scoreless in the first meeting, before WMU won in Kalamazoo, 2-0. Thursday's contest is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
Western Michigan is led by Bailey Korhorn, the reigning MAC Offensive Player of the Week. She leads the team with seven goals and has a team-best 16 points. Jemma Blackburn is second on the squad with four goals and eight points. Maggie Rogers leads the Broncos in net with a 4-10 record and has stopped 67 shots.
