Women’s Tennis Continues To Dominate This Fall Season

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Ball State women's tennis team continues to dominate fall action posting yet another successful weekend on the court at the Eastern Michigan Eagle Invitational.
The three-day event was cut short due to pending inclement weather on Sunday.
The Cardinals won a total of 10 doubles matches while claiming 15 singles victories in a two-day span.
On Friday, Emma Peeler went 2-0 singles action as did her teammates' Hannah Davies and Elena Malykh. Peeler took down both of her respective opponents in straight sets.
Other Cardinals that earned singles victories were Amy Kaplan, Livia Lukacs, Jessica Braun, Mariya Polishchuk, Hannah Davies, Emily Desai and Isabelle Behrman.
In doubles, Kaplan and Peeler beat Western Michigan's Kaitlyn Rogosch and Maya Perkucin, 6-1. Lukacs and Braun paired up for a 6-2 take down over Wright State's Jilian Milano and Heaton. Malykh alongside doubles partner Desai did not give up a point to Emma-Lou Pommiers and Rand. Davies and Polishchuk were also victorious in doubles play on Friday.
The Cardinals closed out their competition at the Eagles Invitational on Saturday bringing home dominating wins again in both doubles and singles.
After this weekend, the Cardinals will take a brief break before heading to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Ohio Valley Regional on Oct. 21 which will be held on the campus of Middle Tennessee.
