Freshmen Excel As Men’s Tennis Clinches Fall Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - It was a successful weekend for the Ball State men's tennis team as the Cardinals claimed their 37th Fall Invitational at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center Sunday afternoon.
Two true freshmen, Nathaniel Webster and Petar Petrovic, each won their respective flights. Webster defeated his own teammate, Thibault de Negri, in the "A" flight by a score of 6-1, 6-0 while Petrovic won the "B" flight after his 6-0, 7-6 (1) take down over Marquette's Pablo Dale.
The Cardinals dominated doubles play as Danilo Kovacevic and Chris Adams, along with teammates Petrovic and Abe Wojtalik, each were crowned champions in the flight A and flight B doubles, respectively.
Kovacevic and Adams registered a 6-4 victory over Marquette's Stephen Dragovic and Tin Krstulovic while Petrovic and Wojtalik took down IUPUI's duo of Sean Bailey and Nicholas Moody, 6-3.
The Ball State men's tennis team will wrap up its fall season at the Western Michigan University Invite on Nov. 5-7 in Kalamazoo, Mich.
