Cardinals Place 14 on Phil Steele’s All-MAC Teams

MUNCIE. Ind. -- Fourteen Ball State football players were named to Phil Steele's Postseason All-MAC teams.
Steele's All-MAC First Team included Ball State receiver Justin Hall, safety Bryce Cosby and linebackers Brandon Martin and Anthony Ekpe.
Second-teamers for the Cardinals included quarterback Drew Plitt, right tackle Curtis Blackwell, linebacker Christian Albright, cornerback Antonio Phillips and punter Nathan Snyder.
Steele's third team featured BSU linebacker Jaylin Thomas, receiver Yo'Heinz Tyler and running back Caleb Huntley, while defensive lineman Chris Agyemang and long snapper Joseph Greenwood earned spots on the fourth team.
A total of 19 different BSU players have now received all-conference recognition from either the league or a publication.
The 2020 season was one for the history books for Ball State, which finished 7-1 – winning its final seven games – while claiming its first MAC championship since 1996 with a win over No. 23 Buffalo and its first-ever bowl victory with a win over No. 19 San Jose State in the Arizona Bowl.
