Career: Enters the 2021 season ranked sixth in BSU history for career punting average (40.5).
2020 (Sr.): Named to the All-MAC Second Team … appeared in all eight games as BSU’s punter and holder for field goal attempts … led the MAC and ranked 29th nationally in yards per punt with a career-best 43.6 average … that mark ranked as the seventh-best for a season in BSU history … 11 of his 29 punts went for 50 yards or longer … booted a season-long 61-yarder in the MAC West Championship-clinching victory over Western Michigan and a 60-yarder in the win over Northern Illinois … had a key 54-yard punt out of his own end zone late in the victory at Toledo … punted a season-high six times for a 45.2-yard average in the MAC Championship Game win over No. 23 Buffalo on his way to being named the Special Teams Player of the Game.
2019 (Jr.): Served as the team’s punter and holder on field goal attempts … ranked fifth in the MAC with 11 punts of 50 yards or more … registered a career-best 62-yard punt in the win over Toledo on Oct. 19 … booted a pair of 50-plus yard punts at NC State on Sept. 24, including a 54 yarder in the second quarter … finished with 16 punts inside the 20-yard line and only three touchbacks.
2018 (So.): Played in all 12 games … used as the team’s punter in the first three games … five of his 16 punts were fair caught … recorded a personal-high 293 yards punting on seven attempts at Indiana on Sept. 15 … also served as the holder on field goals.
2017 (Fr.): Stepped right in as a true freshman and contributed as a punter … split time with Morgan Hagee in the final five games … tallied five punts of 50 yards or more … booted four punts inside the 20-yard line at Akron on Oct. 7 … notched a season-best 56-yard punt against Central Michigan on Oct. 21 … finished with 12 punts inside the 20-yard line and only three touchbacks.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three letters as a punter from head coach Morgan Cotter at Marysville High … first team all-state and all-conference as a junior … second team all-league in 2016 … also lettered three years on the baseball team, splitting time as an outfielder, first baseman and pitcher.
PERSONAL: Son of Patrick and Tammy Snyder … two sisters … born June 26, 1998 … full name is Nathan Frederick Snyder … his father played collegiate football at Purdue and went on to play for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts.
