Favorite Four: Jasmin Samz - Women’s Basketball
August 05, 2020 | Women's Basketball
Photos play an important role in everyone's life, allowing us to relive some of our fondest memories and reminding us of special people, places or stories from our past.
Our student-athletes are no different, and over the coming weeks we will highlight some of their favorite images captured during their time as Cardinals.
From battling it out on the field of competition, to just hanging out with their teammates, you will get a glimpse of some of the special moments in our student-athletes' lives in a new feature called "Favorite Four."
The 29th player in program history to record 1,000 career points, Jasmin Samz was a three-year letterwinner for the Ball State women's basketball program. She finished her career with the Cardinals having scored 1,012 career points, to go along with 311 rebounds, 230 assists and 106 steals.
Last season, she played in 31 games for Ball State, scoring in double figures 18 times. She also helped the program advance to the second round of the 2018 Women's National Invitation Tournament.
"The Push"
This is a picture from my redshirt year during the pink game. This year, I spent every day trying to push my teammates to be better while I was bettering myself for the next year.
"The Shot"
Me hitting my iconic 15-foot jumper with a defender contesting my shot.
"The Swag"
This is one of my favorite pictures during my sophomore year. This team was one tough group, and coming at you with swag as seen in this picture.
"The Excitement"
This picture shows the excitement the moment I took the charge to end the Central Michigan game. It was the biggest upset in the league last year. It just happened to be seconds after I scored my 1,000th collegiate point in front of my entire family on senior night!
