
Sebby Captures Another Academic Award

Chase Sebby, already a Ball State graduate with a long list of awards won while playing catcher at BSU, has been honored once again. Sebby was named CoSIDA Academic All-District for 2020. He was among the honorees in District V, which includes all Division I players from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois.
Sebby is an academic all-conference performer who has won team awards within the Ball State baseball program for multiple years. He owns a 4.0 GPA in his graduate work in statistics after earning a bachelor's degree in actuarial science in 2019.Â
On the field, Sebby was the 2019 MAC Defensive Player of the Year and voted second team All-MAC while helping BSU to a 38-19 record. He his a career .271 hitter with 36 extra-base hits and a .401 on-base percentage.Â
