MUNCIE, Ind. - The Cardinals came out on top this time in their nail-biting match Friday afternoon against Cleveland State at the Northwest YMCA Tennis Center. Freshman Parrish Simmons took a three-set thriller from the Vikings Kade Mindry, clinching the 4-3 victory for Ball State.

Cleveland State (4-4) took the first doubles match from the Cardinals on the top court for a strong start in the opening minutes of the match. After that, the No. 2 duo of Thibault De Negri and Simmons got the Cardinals on the board first after defeating Matthew Terry and Mindry, 7-5. With doubles play even, Eli Herran paired up with Bryce Bonin at the No. 3 spot to claim Ball State's first point of the day after earning a 7-6 victory against Jack Santilli and Noah Cenkner.
