Gymnastics fans can catch four teams in action this Sunday at Ball State's home opener. The meet starts at 1 p.m. and a scoreboard video stream will be available on BallStateSports.com.
The Cardinals are hosting the first of their four home meets against league opponent Bowling Green along with Southeast Missouri State and Division III UW-Lacrosse. Ball State is coming off a win at Pittsburgh last weekend that saw eight different gymnasts record a 9.725 mark or better.
Claudia Goyco has been a standout on floor, scoring 9.800 or better in each of the first two meets. Stefanie Schweikert is the top scorer on vault, averaging 9.800 on the year. Alivia Ostendorf and Marissa Nychyk have been all-arounders in the first two meets and Arden Hudson has been tops on beam (9.7625 average).Â
Bowling Green's season average team score is 192.175, just shy of Ball State's season average of 192.762.Â
