
Men’s Tennis Opens Fall Season In-State at Butler Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team begins its fall schedule Friday, Sept. 13 in Indianapolis at the Butler Invitational. The three-day tournament will feature four teams and will be held at the Bulldogs' outdoor courts and their indoor bubble.
The action begins at 2 p.m. on Friday and then 9 a.m. or earlier on Saturday and Sunday. Joining the Cardinals and host Butler are IUPUI and the University of Indianapolis.
There will be only one flight of both singles (32 players) and doubles (16 teams). The format for singles will feature third-set match tiebreakers, and doubles will be played as six-game sets.
After the completion of the Butler Invitational, the Ball State men's team will participate in four more fall events: the Purdue Invitational (Oct. 4-6), the Louisville Invitational (Oct. 11-13), the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Nashville, Tennessee (Oct. 24-27) and the Mid-American Conference Indoor in Kalamazoo, Michigan (Nov. 8-10).
