September 12, 2019 | Baseball
Ball State baseball welcomed more than 100 alumni to campus during the Sept. 7-8 weekend, hosting a tailgate and golf outing.
"Programs with great traditions have solid turnouts at alumni events," head coach Rich Maloney said. "I want to offer a special thanks to all of the alumni who attended. I was especially encouraged to see so many who haven't visited us in awhile."Â
The program hosted a tailgate for the Ball State football victory on Sept. 7 and a golf outing with 80 participants the next day. The top finishing foursomes on the links were:
1st Place: Matt Gard, Brad Miller, Matt Singleton, Mark France
2nd Place: Mike Sullivan, Erik Morris, Joe Ness, Eric Story
3rd Place: BJ Butler, Kyle Raleigh, Tyler Jordan, Clay Mannering

Alumni ranging from recent teams to Wayne Campbell '58 attended the weekend events.Â
Ball State went 38-19 last year and has won 30+ games in each of Maloney's 14 seasons, and in 2019 had its eighth first-round pick in the MLB Draft.Â
