Soccer Picked Second in MAC Preseason Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference released its preseason poll for the 2019 women's soccer season and the MAC coaches selected Ball State to finish second.
The Cardinals received one first place vote in the regular season poll and 126 points overall. Bowling Green, the defending league champion, was selected as the favorite in both the regular season and tournament. Kent State, Buffalo, Ohio and Western Michigan rounded out the top half of the poll.
Ball State finished second in the regular season in 2018 and tied Bowling Green in the championship match before falling in penalty kicks. Led by first year head coach Josh Rife, the Cardinals will look to take the next step and secure a MAC championship and appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
