Jameson Collects Another MAC Pitcher of the Week Nod

Jameson struck out a career-high 16 in road win on May 3

After picking up a road win last Friday with a career-high 16 strikeouts, Drey Jameson is the MAC Pitcher of the Week. It's the third time this season and the fourth of his career he's been honored.

Jameson, who is in the top 4 nationally in both strikeouts (120) and strikeouts per 9 innings (14.66), dominated Northern Illinois to help Ball State to its third road series win of the season. He pitched 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. He had 7 Ks over the last 3 innings and didn't allow a run after the 3rd inning. He retired 10 of the last 11 batters he faced before coming out of the game with the game in hand.

Ball State, now 30-16 and 2nd in the MAC standings, will play at Purdue Tuesday evening before hosting Ohio University this weekend May 10-12. Six home games remain, including First Merchants Bank Fan Day Saturday, May 18.
