2018 U.S. Open qualifier led BSU with stroke average of 73.00
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State senior Timothy Wiseman was named to the All-MAC Second Team as selected by the league's head coaches and announced Friday.
Â
Wiseman was also voted the Earl Yestingsmeier Sportsmanship Award recipient by his peers at last week's MAC Championships. He will graduate Saturday with a degree in finance.
Â
Wiseman led Ball State this season with a 73.00 stroke average, ranking just outside the top 5 marks in program history. He was one of four BSU players better than 74.00, as the Cardinals managed a school-record 292.62 average as a team.
Â
The Corydon, Indiana, product and 2018 U.S. Open qualifier, provided a counting score in all but two of his rounds and finished among the top 30 in eight of the team's 10 stroke play tournaments. His tie for 13th at the MAC Championships was his fourth top-15 in four career starts at the event.
Â
Wiseman finished with a 74.72 career scoring average, again near the top 5 in BSU history. He played in every event but four as a member of the BSU lineup over his four years and provided a counting score in 89 percent of his rounds.
