Cardinal Recruit Named Volleyball Athlete of the Year

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Ball State University men's volleyball newcomer Bryce Behrendt has been named the Wisconsin boy's volleyball athlete of the year by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Behrendt signed to play for Ball State starting in 2020. He played in 378 career high school games and recorded 1,057 kills, 600 digs, 128 blocks and 182 aces. As a senior, he tallied 336 kills, 163 digs, 46 blocks and 69 aces. The Wisconsin Player of the Year served as a team captain as both a junior and senior while being named team MVP both years. Behrendt also competed in track and field all four years of high school.
As part of his recognition, Behrendt met with USA swimming star Michael Phelps.
