Soccer Closes Spring Slate with a Bang

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State University soccer team finished its 2019 spring schedule in style as the Cardinals defeated Indiana Tech, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at Scheumann Stadium
In a match that featured two 30-minute halves, Ball State was dominant from kickoff.
"I'm really pleased with the things our team accomplished this spring," said head coach Craig Roberts. "Hopefully as we continue training and working hard, this success will be sustained through the regular season.
Tatiana Mason opened the scoring just a minute into the match off an assist from Claudia Como. Sam Kambol followed with a pair of goals with Julia Elvbo and Kennedy Metzger assisting to put the Cardinals up 3-0.
Metzger then took her turn at goal and scored off a Jenna Dombrowski assist. Shelby Kean then scored a pair of goals, both off assists from Mason. Mason capped the scoring on an assist from Lizzie Philibin to finish the match.
Alex DeRuvo was in net and completed the shutout for BSU.
Saturday's match completes spring competition for Ball State. The 2019 regular season schedule will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
