Cardinals set to tee off Friday morning in Richmond, Kentucky
The Ball State women's golf team heads into this weekend's EKU Colonel Classic with a lineup featuring three freshmen, all looking to build upon their best collegiate performances.
Hadley Moritz fired two rounds of par or better, Dylann Armstrong finished among the top 30, and Ja Santadusit played steady golf the last time out at the Spring Break Shootout. Armstrong and Santadusit did their work while competing as individuals but earned lineup spots for this week.
Manon Tounalom leads the way for BSU again, fresh off her fifth top-15 finish in six stroke play starts this year. She tied for ninth last year at EKU and joins Liz Kim as the only non-freshmen in the Cardinals' lineup this weekend. Morgan Lewis and Emily Knouff will compete as individuals.
The Colonel Classic features 54 holes over two days at the University Club at Arlington in Richmond, Kentucky. Teams will play the first two rounds Friday, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
The 13-team field also features tournament host EKU, Akron, Austin Peay, Belmont, Cleveland State, Cumberlands, Dayton, IUPUI, Northern Illinois, Oakland, Ohio and Tennessee Tech.
