Track & Field Set For Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational

Action begins Friday at 5 p.m. (ET) / 4 p.m. (CT) with the women's hammer at the Vanderbilt Track & Field Complex. Saturday's competition beings at 11 a.m. (ET) / 10 a.m. (CT) with the discus.
Winners of 10 events at last weekend's Stan Lyons Invitational, the Cardinals are slated to compete in 18 events over the course of the two-day Black & Gold Invitational with five on Friday and 13 on Saturday.

Three Things to Know Entering the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational
No. 1: Kelsey Walters was named the MAC Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career after winning the shot put with a mark of 14.02m at last weekend's Stan Lyons Invitational. The effort currently ranks first in the MAC and 57th nationally.
