Field Hockey Earns National Academic Team Award

Ball State is a 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Recipient
GILBERT, Ariz. - The Ball State field hockey program has earned the 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Monday.
Ball State was one of 71 programs to receive the prestigious award. The Division I National Academic Team Award recognizes programs which earn a team grade-point average of 3.0-or-higher during the fall semester of the 2018-19 school year.
As a team, Ball State field hockey had a cumulative GPA of 3.612 in the fall semester and boasts a 3.516 overall GPA.
Individually, 17 different players earned at least a 3.0 GPA during the fall semester, with redshirt sophomore Alison McMullen leading the team with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
