TIME FOR TIPOFF
- The Ball State women's basketball team is looking to snap two-game losing streak when it travels to MAC West Division leader Central Michigan Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. tipoff in McGuirk Arena.
- The Chippewas are looking to extend its win streak to three after their 76-65 defeat over Buffalo Saturday.
- Tonight's game against Central Michigan will mark the 78th time the teams have met, with the Chippewas leading the all-time series record, 40-37.
- The last time Ball State defeated CMU was on Feb. 25, 2017 by a score of 81-73. The Chippewas swept the series from the Cardinals last season.
- Ball State's largest win streak against Central Michigan was 11 from 2000 thru 2006.
- Central Michigan's current head coach Sue Guevara was once a Cardinal. Guevara got her first full-time assistant coaching job when Ball State hired her in 1985. Guevara spent one season with the Cardinals, 1985-86, before spenging 10 seasons at Michigan State.
- Sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown led the team in rebounding last season pulling down 7.6 boards per game. Currently Brown leads the Cardinals in scoring (14.1 ppg) and rebounding 9.5 rpg). She has registered five double-doubles this season. Last year, Brown finished ninth in the Mid-American Conference and ranked second among league freshmen Brown's list of accomplishments.

- Central Michigan is currently ranked 21 in the latest RPI and is receiving votes in the AP/USA Today top 25 polls.
- Presly Hudson ranks 19th in the country in scoring averaging 20.5 points per contest. The Chippewas Reyna Frost currently stands in fifth in the nation in rebounding (12.6).
- Sue Guevara is in her 11th year at the helm of the Chippewas. Guevara led Central Michigan to its first-ever NCAA Sweet 16 appearance last year and ended the season ranked 20th in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll.
- Currently Central Michigan has three players averaging double figures, Presley Hudson (20.5 ppg), Reyna Frost (19.5 ppg) and Micaela Kelly (14.0 ppg). Frost also leads the Chippewas defensively averaging 12.6 rebounds per contest.
