Soccer Announces Spring Schedule With Four Home Matches
February 18, 2019 | Soccer
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State University soccer team has announced its 2019 spring schedule which includes four matches at home along with a contest against Eastern Kentucky at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Ind.
"We're excited to get started on a new season of Ball State soccer as we say goodbye to an incredible senior class and welcome in an exciting new group," said head coach Craig Roberts. "This spring schedule will give our team a good opportunity to work on building chemistry and put all our hard work in the weight room to the test. We've established a good culture along with some core values, so I'm excited to see how that translates on the field."
The matchup with EKU is the first match on the schedule and will take place on Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. ET. The Cardinals and Colonels met during the 2018 regular season in Kentucky with EKU claiming a 1-0 victory.
Ball State will then take a month off before facing Grace College at home on March 23. A week later, Eastern Illinois comes to Muncie on March 30. EIU visited Ball State in an Exhibition just before the 2018 season with BSU coming out on top, 1-0.
The spring slate ends with a pair of April matches as in-state rival Indiana State visits on April 7 and Indiana Tech will travel on April 13. The time and location of the Indiana Tech match will be announced at a later date.
Along with its spring slate of matches, Ball State will host its ID camp on April 6 and its alumni game on April 13 after the Indiana Tech contest. More information on the ID camp can be found at the link below.
