Women’s Tennis Continues Its Winning Ways; Defeats St. Francis 6-1

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Ball State women's tennis team opened its two-match road swing in Pittsburgh Friday night with a 6-1 win against Saint Francis.
The Cardinals have now extended their win streak to four, improving their overall record to 5-1 on the season while Saint Francis dropped to 1-9.
Sarah Swiderski paired up with teammate Victoria Sec for a 6-0 win on the top court over the Red Flashes Lucia Seigford and Raksha Bode. After that, the No. 2 duo of Peyton Gollhofer and Isabelle Dohanics clinched the doubles point for Ball State with their 6-0 take down over Laura Gutierrez and Stephanie Miller.
Ball State continued its success in singles action by dominating on four of the five courts. The Cardinals defeated their respective opponents all in straight sets. Gollhofer claimed the final point the Cardinals needed to win the match on court two. Gollhofer only gave up a total of two games in both sets against Seigford, winning 6-2, 6-2. With the victory, Gollhofer remains undefeated in singles action with a 6-0 ledger.
