MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State University soccer team returns home for a matchup with Northern Illinois Thursday before embarking on another road trip to Western Michigan Sunday. The Cardinals will look to extend their current three game winning streak.

ABOUT NORTHERN ILLINOIS (2-8-1, 0-4-0)
The Huskies enter Thursday's contest having lost five straight including all four MAC contests. NIU's two wins came against Western Illinois and Marquette. Trudy Quidzinski has nine points to lead Northern Illinois while Megan Donnally and Julia Lentz have split time in goal and have a win apiece.
SERIES HISTORY
Ball State leads the all-time series with Northern Illinois by a count of 11-6-5. The Cardinals defeated Northern Illinois, 2-1, last season in DeKalb.
ABOUT WESTERN MICHIGAN (4-6-1, 2-1-1)
The Broncos got off to a 2-0-1 start in MAC play before dropping their most recent contest to Eastern Michigan. They will have a chance to rebound against Miami before Sunday's battle with Ball State. Morgan Otteson leads both WMU and the entire MAC in goals and points with six and 15, respectively. Maggie Rogers has seen the majority of time in goal for the Broncos and owns a 4-4-1 record with two shutouts and 57 saves.
SERIES HISTORY
The Cardinals and Broncos met twice in 2018 with BSU winning both matches. The first was during the regular season in Muncie when Ball State won 3-0. The two sides met again during the MAC Tournament semifinal and the Cardinals came away victorious, 1-0, in double overtime. The series between the teams is dead even at 11-11-3.
BALL STATE QUICK HITS
JUST SCORE- Ball State in undefeated this season when scoring at least one goal. In all three of the Cardinals' losses, they have failed to get on the scoreboard. BSU has 22 goals for the year, all coming in victories.
THRILLER- Ball State's game against Buffalo came down to a Julia Elvbo goal in double overtime to secure the victory. The Cardinals previously led 2-0 but allowed the Bulls back into the game in the second half. Sam Kambol found Elvbo for the score with less than two minutes remaining.
POTW- Ball State has claimed six MAC Player of the Week awards so far this season, with Julia Elvbo being named Offensive Player of the Week this week. Tristin Stuteville won the first three DPOTW awards of the year while Grace Alsop
