Women’s Golfers Wrap up Fall Schedule in Louisville

Hadley Moritz leads Cardinals with 35th-place finish out of 95 competitors
FINAL RESULTS
SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- Hadley Moritz and Tiegan Taylor carded rounds of 75 on Sunday to lead the Ball State women's golf team on the final day of its fall season.
The Cardinals maintained their spot in 13th place to wrap up the Cardinal Cup at the University of Louisville Golf Club. Manon Tounalom (77) and Morgan Lewis (79) also provided counting scores on the way to a team round of 306, BSU's best of the week.
Tournament host Louisville rallied from four shots back entering the day to win by eight over second-place Kentucky. Sera Tadokoro of Kansas was the medalist at 8 under par. This week's 17-team field featured 10 squads ranked among the top 100 in the country.
Moritz was consistent all week with rounds of 76, 75 and 75. The sophomore finished as the top BSU golfer on the leaderboard in 35th place out of 95 competitors.
The Cardinal Cup was the fifth fall event for Ball State, which recorded one victory and a pair of third-place finishes. The Cardinals are now off until they host the Ball State Sunshine Invitational in Florida in February.
