MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State University women's soccer team faces a challenging weekend with a pair of road contests at Toledo and the current team atop the Mid-American Conference table, Bowling Green.

ABOUT TOLEDO (4-10-0, 1-5-0)
The Rockets claimed their first MAC win last week in a dominant 6-1 win against Eastern Michigan. That victory broke a four-match losing streak before Toledo dropped its next contest to Central Michigan. Stephanie Currie leads UT with six goals and three assists in 2019. Madison Perrin has seen the majority of time in goal with nine starts, but Adrianna Brewer has also made five appearances.
SERIES HISTORY
Ball State leads the series with the Rockets by a tally of 11-8-2. The two sides met last season in Muncie for the MAC opener and Ball State claimed a 2-0 victory.
ABOUT BOWLING GREEN (8-4-2, 6-0-0)
After a challenging non-conference schedule, Bowling Green is off to a perfect start in MAC play. The Falcons won their last two games in overtime after scoring equalizers in regulation with less than a minute to play both times. Nikki Cox has 16 points on six goals and four assists and is followed closely by Maureen Kennedy who has 14 points and five goals and four assists. Chelsee Washington and Kennedy White are also major contributors with 13 and 11 points, respectively
SERIES HISTORY
The Cardinals and Falcons have met 22 times with Ball State owning a 14-4-4 record in the series. The two teams met twice last season. In the first meeting during the regular season, Bowling Green dominated the Cardinals in Muncie with a 3-0 victory. The teams met again in the MAC Tournament Championship, and BGSU prevailed 5-4 in penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw through regulation and two overtimes.
BALL STATE QUICK HITS
CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH- Ball State will travel to Bowling Green for a rematch of 2018's MAC Tournament Championship. The match ended in penalty kicks with BGSU claiming hte victory. Ball State will look to reverse last season's result Sunday afternoon.
JUST SCORE- Ball State in undefeated this season when scoring at least one goal. In all three of the Cardinals' losses, they have failed to get on the scoreboard. BSU has 25 goals for the year, all coming in victories.
ELVBO IS CLUTCH- Two Sunday's in a row now, Julia Elvbo has scored gamewinning goals to lift the Cards to wins in double overtime. The first was at Buffalo in the 109th minute and the second at Western Michigan in the 105th minute.
CARDIAC CARDINALS- The Cardinals have played 11 games decided by just one goal. BSU is 9-2 in those games, three of which have gone into overtime. So far, Ball State has a perfect 3-0 record in overtime.
