- Ball State hosts its third annual Field Trip Day when it welcomes Bowling Green to Worthen Arena at 11 a.m. Wednesday for its second Mid-American Conference game of the season.
- Ball State and Bowling Green have met a total 66 times in program history with the Falcons leading the all-time series record, 44-22. Â
-Ball State has won the last eight meetings between the two programs winning its last meeting 82-41 on Jan. 24, 2018 in Worthen Arena.
-The eight game winning streak against the Falcons ranks first between Ball State and any other MAC school. The next team is Miami, Ball State has defeated them seven in a row.
-Both teams are looking for their first league win after Ball State dropped an 58-65 decision at MAC West Division rival Toledo Saturday and Bowling Gree lost by only a hair, 84-82, at home to Western Michigan.
-The last time Bowling Green won in Worthen Arena was in 2013-14 when the Falcons defeated the Cardinals by a score of 72-61.
- Ball State and Bowling Green first-ever meeting was in 1974-75, the Cardinals defeated the Falcons by a score of 58-52 in Terre Haute, Ind.
- Although Ball State lost its first Mid-American Conference game, that has never set the tone for league action under seventh year head coach Brady Sallee. In the last six seasons, Ball State has never started MAC action with an 0-2 record. The Cardinals own a 5-1 ledger in their second league game under Sallee.
About Bowling Green
- The Falcons come to Ball State with a new head coach on the sidelines, Robyn Fralick who is in her first season at the helm of BGSU. She has guided the Falcons to a 7-5 record overall and are 0-1 in Mid-American Conference action. Prior to Bowling Green, Fralick was the head women's basketball coach at Ashland guiding the Eagles to a Division II national championship in 2016-17.
- Prior to Bowling Green's loss at Western Michigan last Saturday, the Falcons had been on a four-game winning streak. Â
- The Falcons have four players scoring in double figures, Morgan McMullen (17.1 ppg), Andrea Cecil (15.3 ppg), Angela Perry (12.7 ppg) and Sydney Lamber (12.0 ppg). Defensively, Kadie Hempfling leads the Falcons defensively averaging 9.4 rebounds per contest.
- Bowling Green is the winningest team in Mid-American Conference history, both in terms of victories and winning percentage, and the Falcons lead the all-time series with all 11 conference foes.
