Cardinals Close Regular Season with Visits to Indiana State and Butler

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State University swimming and diving team has one final weekend to tune up for the Mid-American Conference championships as it will stay in state and visit Indiana State and Butler this weekend.
On Saturday, both the men and women will travel to Terre Haute where they will face both Indiana State and Southern Illinois. The men will then travel an hour south to Butler on Sunday and be joined by the female divers.
Ball State is fresh off a contest with Miami in which the men fell 63-263 while the women dropped a 97-203 decision. The Cardinals had two first-place finishes at that competition, highlighted by a win in the 50 free by Peighton Gilbert.
For the women, the MAC Championships open on Feb. 27 and run through March 2 at the University of Akron. The men's championships start a few days later on March 4 and conclude March 7 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
