About the Cardinals
Ball State tied for second out of 16 teams two weeks ago at its own Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Yorktown. Liz Kim led the way in a tie for sixth with a career-low 54-hole total of 222 (+6), seven shots better than her previous best. Kim has shot 73 in three of her past four tournament rounds and owns a 75.57 scoring average.
Freshman Morgan Lewis finished just one shot behind Kim in a tie for eighth place at the Cardinal Classic, just the second tournament of her college career. Fellow rookie Hadley Moritz has also played in the lineup in each event so far and is joined by yet another freshman this week in Dylann Armstrong.
Folds of Honor
Throughout this season, through the Folds of Honor Military Tribute Program, one Ball State player each tournament will carry a golf bag featuring the name of fallen Army Staff Sergeant Kevin M. Pape. This week, Liz Kim has been designated to carry the bag.
