Women’s Golf Places Two on Academic All-MAC Team

MUNCIE, Ind. -- A pair of Ball State women's golfers was named to the 2018 Academic All-MAC Team for their performance on the course and in the classroom. Manon Tounalom and Sydney Anderson both earned spots on the list.

Tounalom, a junior from Buchelay, France, owns a 3.549 GPA in business administration. She led Ball State with a 76.65 scoring average this season and was the Cardinals' top finisher in nine of the team's 11 stroke play tournaments. Tounalom had seven top-25 finishes and three top-10 results.

Anderson, a junior from Columbus, Indiana, maintains a 3.395 GPA in psychological science. She competed in every event for Ball State and managed a stroke average of 79.81.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible.
