Watts, Wiseman Earn All-Tournament Honors at MAC Championships

Pair tied for third to lead Cardinals to runner-up team finish
Ball State men's golfers Johnny Watts and Timothy Wiseman were named to the all-tournament team at the MAC Championships.

The pair tied for third place, finishing just two strokes behind medalist Ian Holt of Kent State, the nation's 22nd-ranked player. Watts and Wiseman both held the lead at one point during the back nine in Sunday's final round (as did teammate Michael VanDeventer).

Watts, the 2015 MAC individual champion, posted his third top-3 finish in four career starts at the league tournament. The senior from Fishers, Indiana, ended his career fourth in school history with a four-year scoring average of 74.16 and led the Cardinals this season at 73.71.

Wiseman posted his third straight top-15 finish at the MAC Championships. The junior from Corydon, Indiana, ended the season with a 74.71 scoring average.

Ball State finished runner-up at the MAC Championships for the second consecutive season. Defending champion and 29th-ranked Kent State rallied in the final round to nip the Cardinals by three shots at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne.
