Women's Golf Two Shots off Lead in Bowling Green

Sydney Anderson leads Cardinals with opening-round 72
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Sydney Anderson opened with a 72 (+2) to lead the Ball State women's golf team to second place on day one of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.
With a team score of 306 (+18), the Cardinals are tied with UIndy, the No. 2-ranked team in Division II, just two strokes behind tournament leader Toledo in the 16-team field.
Anderson holds the second spot on the individual leaderboard at Stone Ridge Golf Club. She is two shots behind Toledo's Pinyada Kuvanun with one round left.
Ball State also counted a pair of 77's from Manon Tounalom and Liz Kim along with a 78 from Emily Knouff in Saturday's opening round. All three of those golfers are also in the top 25.
The final round of the tournament will be played Sunday with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
