April 13, 2018 | Women's Golf
Six-team field at Purdue features three of nation’s top 75 teams
The Ball State women's golf team will play its final tuneup for the Mid-American Conference Championships this weekend at Purdue's Lady Boilermaker Classic.
The event will feature 36 holes Saturday and 18 Sunday at the Ackerman-Allen Course in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Ball State is one of six teams in the field, joining tournament host Purdue, Texas Tech. Augusta, Butler and Northern Illinois. Three of those teams -- Purdue (21), Texas Tech (53) and Augusta (71) -- are ranked among the top 75 in the country.
The Boilermaker Classic will follow a six-count-four format, so Manon Tounalom, Liz Kim, Sydney Anderson, Holly Anderson, Emily Knouff and Morgan Nadaline will all be competing for the Cardinals.
Ball State is coming off a sixth-place finish at last week's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio. Tounalom posted her third top-10 finish of the season to lead the way.
Tee times each day this weekend will begin at 8 a.m. off the first and 10th tees. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Following the Purdue event, Ball State will prepare for the MAC Championships, slated for April 20-22 at Naperville Country Club in Illinois.
