March 24, 2026 | Women's Golf
HERMITAGE, Tenn. - - The Ball State women's golf team turned in another solid effort Tuesday, using the fourth-lowest team round of the day to finish third among the 16-team field at the Nashville Invitational hosted by Lipscomb.
"I am proud of our effort this week," head coach Cameron Andry said. "We played some really solid golf up and down the line up. We made it interesting today with a little run but just did not get enough putts to fall to contend for the win."
The Cardinals shot +9 (297) on the day to finish the 54-hole event on General's Retreat at the Hermitage Golf Course at +25 (889). Delaware maintained the top spot at +18 (882), while the host Bisons turned in the lowest round of the tournament, at +2 (290), to pass Ball State for second place at +23 (887).
Individually, all six Cardinals finished in the top half of the 91-player field, with four earning top 16 finishes.
"Having four players finish inside the top 16 is a really good sign," Andry added. "Now it's back to work as we build toward a strong finish to the regular season."
Junior JJ Gregston turned in the lowest final round of the 72-par, 6,186-yard course, finishing the day at even par. She opened her round with three birdies over the first eight holes, helping her finish the tournament tied for 12th at +6 (222).
