Poor Weather Forecast Forces Schedule Change for Ball State Baseball
March 08, 2018 | Baseball
CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Unfavorable weather forecasts for the weekend have prompted officials at Western Carolina to make alterations to the three-game non-conference baseball series against Ball State.
With steady rain predicted for Sunday, the two teams will now open the series on Friday afternoon, March 9, in doubleheader action at 1 p.m., before concluding the series on Saturday, March 10, with a single game at 2 p.m.
Friday's schedule includes a pair of seven-inning games ahead of Saturday's regularly scheduled meeting at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium.
The Cardinals (5-7) are currently 2-3 on their Spring Break road trip.
