Women's Golf Set for Spring Break Shootout in Florida

Action begins Monday at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club

The Ball State women's golf team tees off Monday in the Spring Break Shootout at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City, Florida.

Florida Gulf Coast and Western Kentucky are co-hosting the event. Defending champion Georgia Southern is in the field, along with Arkansas State, Central Michigan, Fort Wayne, Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville, Lipscomb, Oakland, Ohio, Towson and UALR.

Ball State's lineup will feature Manon Tounalom, Emily Knouff, Morgan Nadaline, Liz Kim and Sydney Anderson. Additionally, Holly Anderson and Reece Malapit will compete as individuals.

The Cardinals are coming off a tie for seventh place out of 17 teams at the Rio Verde Invitational in Arizona. Tounalom led the team with a 19th-place result, followed by Knouff (23rd) and Nadaline (26th).

The Spring Break Shootout features 36 holes Monday and the final 18 holes Tuesday. The action begins both days at 8:30 a.m. Scores will be updated every nine holes at birdiefire.com.
