Lewis Jumps Atop MAC Performance List at Music City Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Junior Regan Lewis cleared a season-best 1.76m (5-9.25) to place second in the high jump and lead the Ball State track & field team on the opening day of the Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt's Multipurpose Facility.
In addition to placing second in the meet, Lewis' effort of 1.76m currently tops the Mid-American Conference indoor performance list.
The Cardinals also did well in the 200m dash, with four of its five runners producing season-best times. Three of the times were also career-best performances. Sophomore Bryeana Byrdsong led the Ball State quintet by placing 15th with a season-best clocking of 24.73. It's currently the 10th-fastest time in the league this season.
The Ball State track & field team closes competition in the Music City Challenge Saturday by competing in seven more events starting at Noon ET (11 a.m. CT).
