About the Cardinals                                     Â
• After playing six of its past eight games on the road, Ball State will play five of its next six at home. The Cardinals begin that stretch Tuesday by hosting Bowling Green for the only meeting between the teams this season.
Â
• BSU is 10-1 at Worthen Arena this season (3-1 in MAC play), with the only loss coming to league leader Buffalo. The Cardinals are 34-12 at home over the past three years.
Â
• Coming off a loss Saturday at Eastern Michigan, Ball State remains tied for second place in the MAC West Division. BSU and Western Michigan are three games behind a Toledo team the Cardinals defeated on the road last week.
Â
• The Cardinals are looking to bounce back from a tough shooting performance at Eastern Michigan. BSU's shooting percentage (.267) was its lowest since 2013, and its 41-point output was its lowest in a game since 2010.
Â
• Junior center Trey Moses has scored 54 points over the past three games (18.0 per game). It is the highest-scoring three-game stretch of his career. Moses is averaging 13.8 points per game in conference play, just slightly behind junior point guard Tayler Persons (13.9) for the team lead. Moses' 9.6 rebounds-per-game average in MAC play ranks third in the league.
Â
• Persons surpassed the 100-assist mark for the season Saturday at Eastern Michigan. He ranks second in the MAC with 4.4 assists per game for the year, behind only Miami's Darrian Ringo (7.8). Persons' 4.7 assists-per-game average for his BSU career ranks second in school annals only to Jim Hahn who handed out 5.7 per game from 1975-79.
Â
Scouting Bowling Green             Â
• Bowling Green bounced back from a three-game losing streak with wins over Ohio and Kent State last week to even its league record.
• Redshirt freshman guard Justin Turner leads the team and ranks ninth in the MAC with 15.3 points per game, while the Falcons feature the league's second-leading rebounder in junior forward Demajeo Wiggins at 9.1 boards per game.
• As a team, the Falcons rank second in the MAC in 3-point percentage (.371).
• Bowling Green is rated No. 177 in the latest NCAA RPI.
• The Falcons are in their third season under head coach Michael Huger and have already surpassed their win total from last season (13).
Â
Series History   Â
• Bowling Green leads the all-time series 48-35, while Ball State owns a 24-16 advantage in games played in Muncie.
• The Falcons won both meetings last year, defeating the Cardinals 76-71 in Muncie and 79-74 in Bowling Green.
• Point guard Tayler Persons averaged 18.5 points for Ball State in the two meetings last season and scored a game-high 21 against the Falcons in Muncie.
