Gymnastics Travels to Iowa for Pink Meet

MUNCIE, Ind.,-- The Ball State gymnastics team will travel to Iowa City, Iowa. to take on the Hawkeyes in their annual Think Pink meet in the Carver-Hawkeye Arena Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 PM CT.
"The team is excited to compete against Iowa," head coach Joanna Saleem said. "Iowa is known to have a great crowd and high-energy atmosphere which I think excites the team to get out there and do some great gymnastics."
Last weekend at home the Cardinals started on vault where Bri Slonim earned second place with a score of 9.800. Maddie Macdonald and Jordyn Penny tied for third place with scores of 9.725.
On bars Penny notched a season high of 9.900 claiming first place. Macdonald and Kaitlyn Menzione stood together in second place with scores of 9.850. Vicky Garcia claimed a new personal record with a score of 9.800.
Baylee Bell and Jordyn Penny stood on top of the podium scoring 9.825 on beam.Â
Tia Kiaku won the floor event with an impressive 9.875. Sydney Finke stood third overall with a score of 9.850.Â
Kaitlyn Menzione claimed the all-around title, posting a 38.400.
