- Ball State women's basketball returned to its winning ways Saturday with a 79-58 win on the road at Kent State. It was the first time in head coach Brady Sallee's tenure he had won in the Memorial Athletic Convocation Center. With the win, the Cardinals improved to 15-3 overall and 4-3 in the Mid-American Conference. Ball State led at intermission and has not lost a game this season when leading at the half. The Cardinals had five players reach double figures with junior guard Carmen Grande and senior guard Frannie Frazier leading the squad with 15 apiece. Grande also registered her 13th double-double of her career and seventh this season after dishing out 10 assists.
- Ball State's 15-3 record is the best start in program history.
- Ball State finished non-conference play with an 11-0 record and was one of only seven teams nationally to accomplish that goal. The Cardinals were also only one of two non Power 5 teams on that list. Ball State has received votes in both the USAToday Coaches and AP Top 25 polls this season.
- Power 5 conference wins over - Vanderbilt (88-79) and Purdue (66-60). Along with wins over Big East opponent Butler (87-75) and Conference USA Western Kentucky (93-81).
- Ball State has scored at least 80-plus points in 10 out of its 18 games.
- Ball State ranks 35th nationally in the latest RPI which is the second highest ranking of any team in the Mid-American Conference.
- Ball State has three wins over top 100 RPI Teams - Purdue (47 RPI), Western Kentucky (57) and Butler (79).
- Junior guard Carmen Grande ranks second nationally in assists per game (9.7 apg) and second in total assists (174).
- The 11 straight non-conference wins marked the second largest win streak in program history (12 in 2008-09 which included win over Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament).
- Bowling Green holds a 10-8 record heading into Wednesday's game and a 2-5 mark in MAC play. The Falcons have earned wins over Akron (66-64) and Kent State (60-50). Bowling Green is coming off of a 70-63 loss to Ohio Saturday in the Stroh Center.
- Wednesday's game against Bowling Green will mark the 66th time in program history the two schools have met with the Falcons leading the all-time series 44-21. Ball State has won the last seven meetings between the two programs winning its last meeting 84-73 on Jan. 6, 2017 at the Stroh Center.
- Bowling Green is paced by Carly Santoro, who averages 14.0 ppg and 9.8 rpg. Behind Santoro is Andrea Cecil who is currently averaging 10.2 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
- The Falcons are led by head coach Jennifer Roos who is in her sixth season at Bowling Green. She owns a career record of 91-86.
- The win over Tennessee State Nov. 22 gave head coach Brady Sallee his 100th win at Ball State. Sallee became only the second head coach in program history to accomplish that feat, quicker than Tracy Roller did from 2001-08. Roller ended her tenure at Ball State with an 118-73 overall mark.
- With the win over Purdue, sixth year head coach Brady Sallee has now defeated four Power 5 conference schools during his tenure at Ball State; Minnesota (54-51, 2012-13), Iowa (77-72, 2015-16), Vanderbilt (88-79, 2017-18) and Purdue (66-60, 12/4).
