Tounalom’s Fast Start Highlights Day One at BC for Women’s Golf

Final 18 holes of Boston College Intercollegiate set for Monday
CANTON, Mass. -- Ball State's Manon Tounalom birdied four of her first seven holes at the Boston College Intercollegiate and spent the entire 36 holes in contention Sunday.
The Cardinals posted a two-round total of 625 (+49) as a team and will enter Tuesday's final round at Blue Hill Country Club in a tie for 13th place.
Tounalom is tied for 13th out of 87 golfers on the individual leaderboard. She posted rounds of 74 and 76 to end the opening day six shots off the lead.
Richmond (+16) sits atop the 16-team field by four shots over second-place Georgetown (+20). Tournament host Boston College (+21) is third. Heather Munro of Elon and Bibilani Liu of Richmond share the individual lead at even par.
Freshman Liz Kim is the second Ball State player on the leaderboard in a tie for 44th at 157 (+13). She matched Tounalom for the team's best afternoon round with a 76.
The tournament's third and final round will be played Monday.
