Women’s Tennis Completes Day One At Cincinnati Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Ball State Women's Tennis team kicked off fall action Friday at the Cincinnati Invitational. The Cardinals played two round of doubles and one round of singles.
Ball State faced Xavier and Illinois-Chicago in doubles action winning three of the six today. Against Xavier, Ball State's doubles tandem of Peyton Gollhofer and Isabelle Dohanics defeated Elizabeth Bagerbaseh and Rachel Reichenback 6-3 while teammates Audrey Berger and Rebecca Herrington earned a 6-0 victory against Lauren Ghidotti and Sophia Abeison.
The Cardinals then took on Illinois-Chicago in the doubles session two, Rebecca Herrington and Dohanics managed a 6-3 defeat over Miranda Rodriguez Diaz de Leon and Amelia Guevremont.
Ball State played one round of singles against the Bearcats. Audrey Berger took down Ali Miller 6-4, 6-4 while classmate Gollhofer beat her opponent Antonella Bramato fairly easily, 6-3, 6-2.
The Ball State women's tennis team will wrap competition up at the Cincinnati Invitational Saturday at the Traverse-Talbert Tennis Center.
