Anya Eicher Earns MAC Player of the Week Honor

MUNCIE, Ind.– Ball State field hockey's Anya Eicher was named the Mid-American Conference's Defensive Player of the Week announced Tuesday afternoon.
Eicher was honored for her performances in the team's opening weekend against Saint Louis (Aug. 25) and Ohio (Aug. 27). The co-captain and team leader scored one goal this weekend on a penalty stroke against Ohio along with two assists and four points.
The Cardinals defeated Saint Louis, 5-0, and then took down the Bobcats of Ohio, 4-1.
The Ball State field hockey team will suit up again when they travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on Boston University (Sep. 2) and UMass-Lowell (Sep. 3).
