Swiderski Commits To Ball State Women's Tennis
July 17, 2017 | Women's Tennis
MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State fifth-year women's tennis head coach Max Norris announced Friday that Sarah Swiderski (Wesley Chapel, Fla./Saddlebrook Prep) has committed to play at Ball State for the 2017-18 season.
Â
Swiderski joins the Cardinals after spending two seasons at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She competed at the top three singles positions during her time at UNCG.Â
Â
"Sarah is an amazing addition to our program," said Norris. "She is a hard worker and a very passionate person. While getting to know Sarah and those close to her, it is easy to see how she will add to our program with her attitude and energy. Moreover, having played college tennis already and having trained at Saddlebrook Prep, Sarah will bring professionalism, experience and maturity to our program. We are excited to help Sarah get the best out of her last two seasons, and I know she is beyond thrilled to get started in August."
Â
Prior to UNCG, Swiderski flourished at Saddlebrook Prep. She spent much of her junior career ranked among the top 150 players nationally and finished at No. 110. TennisRecruiting listed her as a four-star recruit in the class of 2015.
Â
Swiderski will begin competing for the Cardinals this August. She joins a program that won its second consecutive Mid-American Conference regular season championship in 2017 and posted the best league showing in program history with an undefeated, 8-0 conference record. The Cardinals also earned the right to once again host the MAC Tournament in 2018.
