MUNCIE, Ind. -- Future Ball State Cardinal Holly Anderson was recently recognized as the best high school golfer in the state.
Anderson, a product of Columbus North High School, won the Girls Golfer of the Year award at last week's IndyStar Indiana Sports Awards ceremony.
The second-annual event, held at Clowes Memorial Hall in Indianapolis, honored the most elite athletes in Indiana High School sports.
An all-state selection as a senior last fall, Anderson won the IHSAA individual state championship. She will join her sister, current Ball State sophomore Sydney Anderson, on the Cardinals' roster next season.
Holly Anderson is part of an incoming 2017 freshman class that also includes Liz Kim (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman), Emily Knouff (Fort Loramie, Ohio/Fort Loramie) and Reece Malapit (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown).
