The at-large program includes student-athletes from the following women's sports -- beach volleyball, bowling, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, rowing, skiing, swimming, tennis and water polo. District 5 includes Division I universities in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Blanco earned All-MAC First Team honors this season. She finished the year with an overall singles record of 18-10 and went 19-8 in doubles, including a 6-1 mark in league play alongside partner Peyton Gollhofer. Blanco also earned All-MAC Second Team honors as a junior.
She helped the Cardinals make history the past two seasons with back-to-back MAC regular season titles. She was the MAC Tournament MVP in 2016 after helping the Cardinals win the program's first MAC Tournament championship and automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Blanco will continue her future with the Cardinals as the Ball State women's tennis graduate assistant next year, as she pursues a master's degree in accounting.
